as in, because they are teachers, they are like kings or queens in school. but it is rather true. i mean look at the way we treat our teachers (in convent).
1. we have to bow a little and greet them.
2. we have to stand and welcome them (when they enter class)
3. we have to follow their every order or whim (i.e. flapping our hands around the class during pn cecilia's period)
4. we have to (patiently) deal with their horrid mood swings. (......i can't put her name here)
so, it's no wonder that the teacher's get a little bit proud and cocky at times. (naik kepala) they think they are better than us students. i mean, come on, we students are still HUMANS. HOMO SAPIENS, just like you. we are just a lil' younger than you. just because you hold the coveted "teacher" title, doesn't make you a much better human than us.
yes, we must respect our teachers but then, do they respect us.
look at this situation. me and vivian were supposed to go to this competition at ppd, on the same day as the kuiz kimia. so, we were told to go see this teacher, Pn.M, to ask on when can we retake the exam. so off we went to find her. then when we found her, we (as usual) knocked on the door of the sc lab. and was left waiting for 5 minutes before she shift her attention to us. (mind you she wasn't even teaching at that time) then she was like
"SAY WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY AND BE GONE".
I WAS LIKE PFFT?! be gone!!!? i'm not rubbish or something. to make matters worst she really didn't care whether we wondering if it was possible to retake our exam.
all she cares is that she needs to go back home at (precisely) 1.30 to cook.
